Welcome to Alena. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our AI-powered mock interview platform ("Service") operated by Alena ("we", "us", or "our").

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our Service.

2. Eligibility

To use Alena, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You are at least 18 years of age
  • You are legally capable of entering into binding contracts under Indian law
  • You have not been previously suspended or removed from our Service
  • All information provided by you is accurate, current, and truthful

Parental Consent: Users under 18 may use the Service only if the payment is made by their parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on their behalf.

3. Service Description

Alena provides:

  • AI-powered mock interview sessions tailored to your resume and job description
  • Real-time interview questions (12 questions per session)
  • Voice or text-based answer submission
  • STAR methodology and culture fit evaluation
  • Detailed feedback report delivered via email

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice.

4. Payment Terms

4.1 Pricing

The Service is offered at a one-time payment of ₹149 (inclusive of all applicable taxes) per interview session.

4.2 Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely through RazorPay, a licensed payment gateway in India. We do not store your credit card or banking information.

4.3 Access After Payment

Your interview link will be sent to your email address only after successful payment confirmation. Please ensure your email address is correct.

4.4 No Recurring Charges

This is a one-time payment. There are no subscriptions, hidden fees, or recurring charges.

5. User Obligations

By using Alena, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information in your resume and job description
  • Not share, sell, or transfer your interview link to any third party
  • Not attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or abuse the Service
  • Not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Complete the interview in a single session (interviews cannot be paused and resumed)
  • Maintain a stable internet connection during the interview

6. Intellectual Property Rights

6.1 Our Content

All content, including but not limited to interview questions, evaluation algorithms, feedback reports, logos, and software, is owned by Alena and protected by Indian and international copyright laws.

6.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of your resume, responses, and personal information. By using our Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your data solely for providing the Service.

6.3 Feedback Reports

The feedback report generated for you is for your personal use only. You may not redistribute, sell, or publicly share it without our written permission.

7. Refund Policy

Please refer to our Refund & Cancellation Policy for detailed information. In summary:

  • ✅ Refund available if interview link is not delivered within 24 hours
  • ✅ Refund available if payment was charged but failed on our end
  • ❌ No refund once you access or start the interview
  • ❌ No refund for incomplete interviews (by your choice)

8. Disclaimers and Limitations

8.1 No Job Guarantee

Alena is a practice and feedback tool. We do not guarantee job placement, interview success, or hiring by any employer.

8.2 AI Limitations

Our AI provides feedback based on algorithms and may not always reflect human judgment. The evaluation is for guidance purposes only.

8.3 Service Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Technical issues, maintenance, or force majeure events may affect availability.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Indian law, Alena shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
  • Damages exceeding the amount you paid for the Service (₹149)
  • Issues arising from third-party services (payment gateways, email providers)

10. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activities.

12.2 Jurisdiction
